Dr. Sharon Bakalash is an experienced ophthalmic surgeon with over two decades of proven leadership in clinical and scientific ophthalmic medicine in the Biotech and MedTech industries. As a consultant, she assists in shaping development strategies and facilitating pipeline enrichment through both internal and external innovation.
As the head of ophthalmic medical affairs at Astellas she is at the forefront of the use of Ai in ophthalmology.in an effort to initiate collaborations between industry, research and clinicians to advance the use of Ai in Ophthalmology, she founded the first AI summit in Geographic Atrophy in 2024.
Kristine Morrill – Founder
Kristine Morrill is a global commercialization expert with over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry, combining entrepreneurship, business development, market strategy, and clinical and regulatory expertise. She has a strong track record of guiding ophthalmic innovations from early concept through to successful market entry.
As the founder of multiple ventures, including KAMCommunications, Medeuronet, and Medevise Consulting, she has played a pivotal role in bringing new technologies to market. Her work increasingly focuses on fostering collaboration between industry, clinicians, and innovators to support the adoption of advanced solutions in ophthalmology.
